Thank you for sharing this great recipe! To avoid separation between oil and honey, use a minimum amount of honey. I only used 1 teaspoon and will probably even use less next time. In addition, continue stirring while the balm is cooling and only pour it into the tubes shortly before it gets too thick. I used essential oil of orange, the smell is great!

In reply to liz. My pot has a little lip on it so I just pour it right in. Even without the lip, it would be easy to pour. The consistency is pretty liquid at the time you pour it so it goes where you aim it.

Visiting from Tips and Tricks Tuesday and I love this recipe! I’ve toyed with the idea of making my own natural lip balm but I always thought it would be too hard. I am amazed at how easy you make this look, and I’m definitely trying your recipe. Thanks for sharing!
