It was probably just the lighting in the room, or I may have lightened the picture while editing it. The in-process pictures are darker because they were taking in my very dim kitchen, while the last two photos were taken next to a window. When making natural products the ingredient colors will vary so your results may not always look the same as tutorial pictures.

Just curious that the last picture is lighter in consistency. When I made mine, it looked darker like the other photo.

I wouldn’t, because it could definitely inflame your skin if left on for too long.

It depends on your skin! I used it about once a week. You can use it as much as you like but if it is irritating your skin it’s a sign you should use it less often. Generally I only use an exfoliator once a week or so.
