Everyone needs a good drain cleaner for the bathroom. If you have a bathroom without drains, I would be extremely surprised. Well, you can’t get simpler than this one. Plus it will remind you of fourth grade science projects.
Here is the recipe:
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 1 cup vinegar
- Hot water
All you need to do is pour the baking soda down the drain. Then, a little bit at a time, pour the vinegar down the drain. Once the fizzing subsides, rinse with hot water. And thats’ all!
And the fizzing is really fun.
Pouring the baking soda…And the vinegar. And the drain is clean! See the fizz in the sink? It will make you feel like you’re making a volcano in elementary school. But as an adult, for responsible purposes. Easy, fast, and inexpensive. And green, obviously.

Hi, saw your link @ Best of the Weekend…such a great post and awesome tips! I’m trying to stay away from store-bought cleaning products as I’m worried about the health risks and hate the smell of them. Pinned this and now following you on Pinterest, G+ and Twitter!

I make my own Liquid Castile soap and was wondering if it will work the same as the kind you used in this picture?
I just don’t like to pay a big bunch of money for something I can make at home for a lot less.
Thanks for the recipe!!!

I have no idea if it will work the same, but it’s definitely worth a try! It’s awesome that you make your own. I want to start soapmaking too!
